Informational content only
Everything published on Taxza — calculators, articles, FAQs, worked examples and tax tips — is provided for general information and educational purposes only. It is not legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for consultation with a registered tax practitioner who knows your individual circumstances.
Estimates, not assessments
The numbers our calculators produce are estimates. Real SARS assessments depend on information that the calculators do not (and cannot) ask for, including but not limited to: prior-year assessed losses, capital gains aggregation, ring-fenced assessed losses, fringe-benefit tax, retirement-fund contributions above the cap, section 6quat foreign tax credits, and any audit adjustments. Results may also differ from SARS due to rounding, exchange-rate timing on import duty, and changes to rates published mid-year.
Verify before you act
Always verify amounts that will inform a tax filing, business decision, or financial commitment with the South African Revenue Service or with a registered SAIT, SAICA, or SAIPA practitioner. Taxza accepts no liability for any underpaid or overpaid tax, SARS penalties, interest, or other loss arising from reliance on calculator output. Use of the site is at your own risk and subject to our terms.
Tax law changes
South African tax legislation, brackets, rebates, and thresholds change from year to year and sometimes mid-year. We update the affected calculators within two weeks of a published SARS change and bump the "last updated" date on each calculator page. If you need a tax-year that is not yet supported, please tell us via the contact page.
Third-party content
Where Taxza links to SARS guides, news articles, or other third-party content, those sites are operated by independent organisations and Taxza is not responsible for their accuracy or availability.
